Maximizing Inclusion, Group Dynamics and Decision-Making
The Six Thinking Hats (Parallel Thinking) is a one-day course designed to teach the techniques developed by Dr. Edward de Bono to radically improve the way individuals and groups think, communicate, engage and make decisions. The Six Thinking Hats method introduces a common language which enables parallel thinking across the organization. Proper application of this technique dramatically improves participation / engagement, meeting and decision-making productivity and opens the door to creativity across the organization.
Introduced to JP Morgan, Europe by Lynn Reed in 1994, the technique was adapted rapidly, rolled out globally, and has been running for over 25 years. Lynn has subsequently introduced the Six Thinking Hats method to many major global organizations, including over 10,000 managers and professionals around the world.
The course is appropriate for all levels of professional staff and management up through and including the C-suite and board of directors. Parallel Thinking provides a solid foundation for all leadership development programs, and can reshape the culture of the organization to enhance innovation, resilience, and the ability to adapt to rapid change.
Use of the Six Thinking Hats:
- Produces extraordinary improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of meetings;
- Dramatically enhances the quality of communication, engagement and inclusion in multi-cultural environments;
- Leads to the creation of a culture of creative thinking throughout the firm;
- Offsets natural human pessimism by enabling balanced optimism for group members.
Lynn Reed was certified by Dr. de Bono himself to teach both Six Thinking Hats and Lateral Thinking, and is a qualified Master Trainer in both techniques. He has certified over 40 development professionals globally to teach and apply these exciting techniques.
The Six Thinking Hats course is a prerequisite for the Lateral Thinking program.
